Marriage isn’t marrying the perfect person it’s marrying someone who will promise to love you through the best and worse. You will fall out of love many times but you will fall back in love again and again to become a stronger team. It’s about the sacred commitment to each other that will stand the test of time. This is not verbatim, but this is what I took from Amy and Joe’s wedding ceremony. And it resonated with me so much. I see so much of that between Amy and Joe. I see that commitment, that strength, and longevity.
Amy met Joe during spring break of her senior year at Syracuse University. After college Amy was headed to NYC for her career and even though Joe wasn’t very keen of the idea of leaving land and open space, he followed to be with Amy. Yeah, that’s commitment!
What a gorgeous day it was for Amy and Joe. Not a cloud in the sky and perfect temperatures! They were wed at a beautiful church right in downtown, Syracuse where I witnessed the sweetest smiles of joy exchanged between the two. Amy looked incredible in a dress that seemed like it was made just for her and Joe was as handsome as can be.
We took photos around the downtown area which was fun to find creative spots along the way. We then headed to Syracuse University which was perfect just as the sun began to lower. As everyone trickled into the reception area at Sky Armory, Amy and Joe began greeting and thanking their guests. And what seemed like an instant, a party erupted. The celebration escalated into the night and Amy and Joe were savoring all the wonderful moments. It was an amazing day and it was clear that Amy and Joe were in bliss as husband and wife. Congratulations you two!
