I loved everything about Carolyn and Andy’s wedding day. I love the days were I get to spend time with amazing people who make me feel like we’ve been friends for ages. This day was a great reminder of why I started photography in the first place which is to connect with people and capture their stories. Carolyn and Andy have that gift of putting people at ease. Which probably is the reason why they had 250 guests at their wedding. They make friends everywhere they go and people appreciate that social connection. I definitely do!
Carolyn and Andrew had a wedding ceremony with such a regal vibe. I can’t get over how beautiful Carolyn looked and that veil was the icing on the cake. That veil was everything. Andy looked so handsome and so anxious to marry Carolyn. I know we all do it, we all watch for a groom’s reaction to seeing his bride. And his face is a memory going in the books. His tears somehow conveyed a history with Carolyn and feelings of certainty and excitement.
We went to Root Glen at Hamilton College for photos and then headed to Crystal Springs Golf Course, their friend’s business. There some of their guests ate appetizers, had drinks, and watched a game. It was the perfect laid back atmosphere to pregame the reception. Carolyn and Andy were even kind enough to ride a golf cart out for some photos after I spotted a tree that looked like “their tree” in my poetic mind. It was chilly! But Carolyn and Andy were loving it, perhaps the thrill of it. And we all laughed and quickly drove back to warm up.
Everyone headed to The Cannery in Vernon, New York to get a party started. Really though, it was party. Everyone was ready to let loose I think since 8am that day. The band Last Left was just killing it and the night was full of humorous antics, dance offs, and having a good time. I would have to say if Carolyn and Andy were hoping for a perfect wedding day, then they nailed it. Congratulations to you two!
