When Kasandra contacted me about her wedding she said most people think she’s nuts for having a winter wedding. But I think winter weddings are incredibly beautiful. Snow is so stunning to photograph. Receptions where everyone is cozy inside from the cold is an atmosphere you just can’t replicate in any other season. Kasandra and Chris’s wedding checked all the right boxes as there were furs being worn, candles lit, pine trees at every corner of The Cannery, and she even wore Frozen boots. Yes, you read that right, Frozen as in Elsa from Disney!
The day was exactly what I expected. It was all the best things about winter and all that wonderful feelings about Kasandra and Chris’s marriage. During their ceremony it was said that for two educators, 1+1=1 may not typically make sense. But as husband and wife, 1+1=1 makes perfect sense. They have become an unwavering team and if you’re married you know it’s not always perfection. For the times that 1+1=1 makes no sense at all, is when we support a marriage as they are a team. And after Kasandra and Chris’s wedding, I know there are a lot of people that support them together as a team, as husband and wife, and as Kasandra and Chris.
